Parent Resources
Parents are the first and most important teachers for their children.

Parenting a child with learning challenges can be overwhelming. Lee Pesky Learning Center offers education for parents to help them support their children’s learning needs.

Parent/Family Education

Education about learning disabilities.
Parents and family benefit from learning more about the individual’s unique learning profile and how it impacts the family.

Advocating for your child

Parents receive information on accessing services for their child and how to collaborate with the school in meeting the child’s educational needs.

Homework help for parents

Parents meet with a counselor individually or in a small group to learn tips for helping children with homework.

Preparing for college

Parents and college-bound students learn what to expect in the transition to college. The goal is to help students with learning disabilities succeed in college.

The Center has a resource library in Boise with books, video’s/DVD’s and many other resources that are available for check-out on a range of topics for students and adults.

For information on any of the above, contact Lori Sirs, LMSW at 208-577-1106.
