The aim of the Idaho Early Literacy Project is to promote understanding and provide activities that will enable Idaho children to enter school ready to learn to read. The project also addresses math readiness among Idaho's pre-school children. Important features include:

  • Center-created booklets, Every Child Ready to Read and Every Child Ready for Math
  • Training of child care providers statewide
  • Direct intervention with parents and children
